QISS Deploys the Internet-Based Claims Management System - 04/01/2000

Quick Internet Software Solutions (QISS), an Internet applications development services firm based out of College Station, Texas, deployed the first completely Internet-driven insurance claims management software system called, "Claims Management System (CMS)". There are no boxes to buy, no CDs to order, and no expensive hardware maintenance overhead-- all administrative and user operations are done via a commonly available, free internet browser and any internet connection.

CMS from QISS is completely Internet-driven. From setup to run, the only software that insurance adjusting firms need is the Internet Explorer web browser which already comes commonly installed on most Windows computer systems and is also downloadable from Microsft for free. Anywhere personnel of that company can log in to the Internet with that browser is where they can perform their claims management duties. This frees adjusters from late nights at the office and from having paperwork stack up while on the road working claims at a distance.

The monthly-fee-based service reduces operational overhead by eliminating the need for client firms to have any database and extensive hardware maintenance experience, staff, or consultants. While other existing software packages require costly, proprietary computer systems to be installed at each client company office across the nation, all data warehousing, backups, security, and hardware upgrades are performed by QISS on their comapny servers. In a word, QISS manages all the technology so their clients can manage claims.

The original QISS development staff has been in insurance claims management software development since 1998 before being incorporated under the name Quick Internet Software Solutions, receiving insurance domain knowledge from established insurance adjusting firms with over 30 years experience in the industry.
